  9.    PC-TAGS(tm) is a DOS and OS/2 source-code retrieval system that will
  10. locate and retrieve a function or procedure definition from a text file
  11. written in C, Pascal, BASIC, dBASE, Assembly, Modula-2 or any other language
  12. (including English).  After locating the correct source file, PC-TAGS will
  13. load the file into your editor and place the cursor at the retrieved
  14. function or procedure's beginning.
  15.  
  16.    PC-TAGS can be used in conjunction with any text editor or programming
  17. environment.  There is no need to change your current method of working.
  18. Further, if you use a MAKE facility or version-control system, PC-TAGS can
  19. be easily integrated into your current system.

  21.    Instructions on using PC-TAGS can be found in the "PC-TAGS User Manual"
  22. supplied on-disk in the distribution package.  The PC-TAGS distribution

  53.    In order to fit the entire PC-TAGS package on a single 360K diskette,
  54. several files have been combined into a single program file, RETROMAC.COM.
  55. RETROMAC.COM is a self-extracting archive program.  Simply execute the
  56. program from the DOS command prompt and the files contained within it will
  57. automatically be extracted.
  58.  
  59.    Do not attempt to extract the RETROMAC.COM files onto the original
  60. PC-TAGS distribution disk; there will not be enough room unless you delete
  61. some of the files first (this is not recommended).  The best method is to
  62. copy the RETROMAC.COM program onto either a hard disk or an empty floppy
  63. disk.  Then extract the files by executing the RETROMAC program.
  64.  
  65.    The best place to start learning how to use PC-TAGS is by reading the
  66. "PC-TAGS User Manual" in the file PCTAGS.DOC.  It will explain everything
  67. about the PC-TAGS software package.
  68.  
  69.    The PC-TAGS software system is distributed as shareware.  The version you
  70. currently possess is an unregistered evaluation copy.  The unregistered
  71. version contains requests for user input during the course of its
  72. processing.  These requests act as a reminder that the current version is
  73. for evaluation purposes only.

  75.    You may use the evaluation copy of PC-TAGS for a maximum of 30 days.  If
  76. you find PC-TAGS to be a useful tool and wish to continue using it beyond
  77. the 30-day evaluation period, you must register your copy with Moderne
  78. Software.

  80.    To register PC-TAGS, simply fill out the form contained in the ORDERFRM
  81. file and mail it to the address indicated on the form.  Upon receipt of your
  82. registration, Moderne Software will send you a registered version of
  83. PC-TAGS.  The registered version does not contain the input requests found
  84. in the evaluation copy.  Also included in the registered version is a
  85. printed copy of the PC-TAGS manual.

  87.    PC-TAGS is also available in a version that will execute under the OS/2
  88. operating system.  This version is only available by registering PC-TAGS.

  92. warranty agreement you agree to abide by when using or distributing the
  93. PC-TAGS software package.
